Privacy Policy

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to EduSamachar CG, including the Android app, iOS app, website pages, and related services operated by EDUSAM (OPC) PRIVATE LIMITED.

2. Information we collect

Depending on the features you use, we may collect account and profile information such as name, phone number, email address, user/account identifiers, exam and language preferences, and support communications. We may also collect learning and service data such as bookmarks, test attempts, scores, ranking-related snapshots, read/content state, subscription or entitlement status, referral or wallet/credit metadata where applicable, and similar app activity required to provide the service.

3. Device, usage, and diagnostic data

We may process device and usage information such as app version, device model, operating-system version, app events, diagnostic information, crash reports, performance data, and messaging or notification identifiers where required for app functionality, reliability, security, and product improvement.

4. Authentication and account security

EduSamachar CG uses Firebase services, including authentication and cloud services where applicable, to sign users in, verify account ownership, protect accounts, synchronize supported user data, and maintain a common entitlement record across supported platforms.

5. Payment and transaction information

Razorpay is used for supported website/Android payment flows. Apple processes purchases made through the iOS App Store using Apple In-App Purchase/StoreKit. We may receive limited transaction metadata such as product or plan, amount, currency, payment or transaction identifier, purchase status, timestamps, and entitlement/expiry information. EduSamachar CG does not intend to store full card numbers, CVV details, UPI PINs, net-banking passwords, or other full payment credentials on its own servers.

6. How we use information

• to provide account access, news, tests, bookmarks, rankings, performance, and other app features;
• to verify purchases and show the correct free or paid entitlement;
• to synchronize supported account and learning data across devices;
• to provide support, security, service, and important account communications;
• to detect fraud, abuse, unauthorized access, or attempts to bypass service controls;
• to diagnose crashes, measure reliability, and improve content quality and user experience;
• to meet legal, accounting, security, or regulatory obligations where applicable.

7. Legal grounds where applicable

Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we process information as necessary to provide the service or perform our contract with you, for legitimate interests such as service security, fraud prevention, diagnostics, and improvement, with your consent where required, and to comply with legal obligations.

8. Service providers and data sharing

We may share only the information reasonably necessary with service providers that help operate EduSamachar CG, such as Google Firebase services for authentication, database/cloud functionality, analytics, crash reporting, configuration, and messaging; Razorpay for supported website/Android payments; Apple for iOS App Store purchases; and hosting, security, or support providers used to operate the service. These providers process information under their own applicable terms and privacy practices. We do not sell personal information to advertisers.

9. International processing

Some service providers may process or store information on infrastructure located outside India. Where required, we rely on the safeguards and contractual or legal mechanisms made available by those providers and applicable law.

10. Data retention

We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain account and security records, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and meet legal or accounting obligations. Certain payment and transaction records may be retained for the period required by law, payment reconciliation, audit, security, or fraud-prevention needs.

11. Your rights and account deletion

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of your personal information, and may withdraw consent where processing depends on consent. Account deletion can be initiated using the deletion option available in the app or through the process described on the Profile Deletion page. You may also contact support@edusamacharcg.in. Some limited records may be retained where required for legal, payment, security, dispute-resolution, or fraud-prevention purposes.

12. Children

EduSamachar CG is intended for competitive-exam aspirants and is not directed to children under 13. Users below the age of legal majority should use the service only with appropriate parental or guardian consent where required by law.

13. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect user information. No internet-based service can guarantee absolute security. Users should protect their login credentials, devices, OTPs, and account access.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in the service, law, or our practices. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.
