Profile Deletion

1. Delete from the app

If you can access your account, use the Delete Account option available in the EduSamachar CG profile/settings flow and follow the confirmation steps shown in the app. This is the preferred method because it allows the request to be associated with the signed-in account.

2. Request deletion by email

If you cannot use the in-app option, email support@edusamacharcg.in with the subject EduSamachar CG Account Deletion Request. Send the request from your registered email where possible and include your registered phone/email and user ID if visible in the app. Clearly state that you want your EduSamachar CG account deleted.

3. Verification

For account security, we may ask you to verify account ownership before processing an email-based deletion request. Do not send passwords, OTPs, full card details, UPI PINs, or banking credentials.

4. Data that may be deleted

• account/profile information that is not required to be retained;
• app preferences and supported synchronized user state;
• bookmarks and related saved learning state where applicable;
• test-attempt and performance records linked to the profile where deletion is permitted;
• sessions, device associations, referral data, and entitlement associations where applicable and legally permitted.

5. Records that may be retained

Some limited records may be retained where required for legal compliance, accounting, payment reconciliation, audit, fraud prevention, security, dispute handling, enforcement of legal rights, or other legitimate record-keeping obligations. Any retained information will be limited to the purpose for which retention is necessary.

6. Processing time

We aim to process valid deletion requests within a reasonable period after the request is received and any required ownership verification is completed. A request may take longer where a payment dispute, security investigation, legal obligation, or other exceptional issue must first be resolved.

7. Effect of deletion

Account deletion may permanently remove access to your profile, bookmarks, test history, rankings, paid-entitlement association, referral or wallet/credit data where applicable, and other synchronized app records. Deletion may be irreversible. Deleting the EduSamachar CG account does not itself cancel or refund a separate transaction already processed by Apple, Razorpay, a bank, or another payment provider.
